The aVorage price to-day for Canterbury mutton is 4}d per lb, for Dunediii, ' Southland, and Wellington Meat Export Company's brands 4Jd,. for other brands of North Island mutton ltd. Cheese.—The market is failing. Average price of finest New Zealand choose is 40s per cwt. Hemp.—The market is quiet, with a-ry limited business doing. I'rice for New Zealand hemp, good fair Wellington grade, on spot, £Bl 10s per ton. May to July shipments are quoted at £3l.
