A Musical Ovation.
FIUEDENTIIAL IN WELLINGTON. Lust montli in Wellington this tulented artist played before a largo audience, which was considerably augmented at his second recital, and quite filled the seating accommodation of the only available hull. I-Iwr Friedenthal obtained at both appearances a great and enthusiastic reception l'rom the large ami fashionable audiences, to whom his lame as a player of the first rank had already reached. The Wellington papers are most profuse in their praise of his powers and abilities, and confer on him the distinction of being the linest fiano virtuoso who has ever visited New Zealand. From •press reports this appears to be the usual reception wherever llerr Frietlenthal perlorms, and the people of New Plymouth are to be congratulated on having the opportunity oi hearing so great an artist to-mor-row evening.
