KING EDWARD'S APPRECIATION (Received May 17, 1.22 a.m.) LONDON, May 16. ■ King Edward, writing to the widow of Sir H. M. Stanley, said her husband had won a great name, which would over live. His Majesty acknowledged the dead explorer's valuable services to the civilised world.
