Fire at Taradale.
(Per Press Association.) NAPIER, May 11. Tho Taradale Hotel, owned by tho Browery Company and occupied by Mr A. Fitzwilliams, together with the post office store, and residence of It. M. Glenny, were totally destroyed by fire early this morning. The inmates of the hotel were roused in good time, but had a somewhat narrow escape. The lire started in a room of tlie hotel where last evening a number of men had been smoking. It spread to Spencer's store, on the opposite side of the street,but vigorous efforts of a bucket brigade suppressed this outbreak, in its incipient stages. The hotel wus insured for £ISOO, and the contents for £7OO in the Norwich Union.
