An Adjourned Inquest.
(Per Press Association.) NAPIER, May 9. ' The inquest on the man Charles Olsen, who died as a result of the railway accident on Saturday, was commenced to-da.v, but was adjourned till Saturday, to allow of tho evidenco of the other man who was injured (.John Olsen) being taken.
Oyster Beds Closed. (Per Press Association.) WELLINGTON, May 9. The Marine Department has decided to declare another close season for oyster beds in the llauraki Gulf and the northern fisher, ies area, liefovo next season the department hopes to be able to deal with the matter of leasing some of the beds in the Hauraki Gulf to the owners of adjoining land.
