Costly Carelessness.

(Per Press Association,} NAPIER. May 8. A fatal accident occurred lost evening, when the 5 p.m. train Irow Hastings to Napier ran into an express containing two wen who were driving over the last crossing in th« borough. Both occupants of the express (Chwles and John Olaen) werai thrown out and seriously hurt. Charles Olsen afterwards, died to the ■ hospital. One of the horses attached to tho express was also killed, This* a is tlu second accident which has oc- \ curred at the same spot within thu last six months ; but in each cane the carelessness of the drivers of tiwj vehicles was responsible.
