BRISBANE EIGHT-OARED Ra6e. (Received Mnv 8, 8.46 a.m.) BRISBANE, May 7. The eight-oared ruce resulted; :— Victoria 1, South Australia 2, Queensland 3, New South Wale* and Westralia. The lost - named broke an oar, and gave up. In th* Single Sculls Championship Burke (Tasmania) beat Slack (Queensland) by eight lengths. (Received May 9, 0.29 a.m.)' , BRISBANE, May 8. The Victorian crew led throughout, and won by a length and a halt.
