ARRIVAL OF 'FRISCO MAIL. AUCKLAND, May 3. The Ventura, from Honolulu, with the inward 'Frisco mail, arrived at midnight. Passengers—Misses Granderton and Leslie, Mrs Silver, Messrs Denher, Sendermah, Scaver, Palmer, and Ziele. The passage occupied 16 fiays.
SHIPPING TELEGRAMS. Bluff, May 3.—Arrived, 4,30 p.m., Mokoia from Hobart, with an English mail. Sydney, May 3.—Arrived at 8.30 p.m., Manuka.
The tonnage of vessel* berthed at the breakwater during the quarter ending March 31 was 55,135 tons, as compared with 50,340t0ns in the corresponding quarter of 1901. The imports and exports totalled 13,676 tons , as compared with 13,284 tons. The revenue for the quarter was £5454, as against £2162. During the quarter the revenue from 'passengers was £596, representing nearly 1000 passengers a week passing over the wharf. In the March quarter, 1903 the revenue from this source was £509. The Northern Steamship Company's steamer Rarawa Is to be laid up lor an overhaul. The Njfapuhi HP# in the Auckland-Whongarei service, will take up the former vessel's running between New Plymouth and Onehunga, The oldtime identity Wellington will be r©commissioned for the AucklandWhangarei trade. Messrs Bell, Gully, Bell and Myers, acting on behalf of William Cook, have served the Union Steam Ship Company, with a writ cliUming £I6OO damages, in connection with jtfce running down of the steamer .Jessie Niccol by the Rotomahana on Ijhe 'night of Dec.'l 9, 1903.
