The indioatior consists of an apparatus attachable to any motor car in proximity ."to the wheels. A belt or chain transfers the motion of the' wheels; to the apparatus. within which are lixrd to a vertical axis a number of horizontal springs ol varying strength. The latter are set revolving- by the motion, of thwheels, which, as they reach a
certain degree of speed, cause a contact between one of the springs. and an electric wire connected with a disc, upon whicli the degree ofsp«',-(| isindicated aulowat'iealjy by Mining colours.
