COTTON GROWING.

{Received April 29, 12.33 a.m.) LONDON, April 28. In the Commons a number of members urged that the Governmen should encourage cotton raising within the Empire. Lord Lytltelton announced that the Cotton Growing Association contributes £30,000 yearly for three years for the development of cotton in Lagos, Southern Nigeria, and Sierra Leone, while those colonies contribute £6.500 yearly.
