Ngamotu Golf Club.

At the annual general meeting of the Ngamotu (lolf Club, the captain, Mr It. Jlayly, presided over a fair atleivd'ance of members. The annual report and balancesheet were "read and adopted. Ollicers were elected President, Mr A. Stamlish (re-elected) ; vicepresidents, Messrs It. Bayly, M. Eraser, 11. C. Wright, \V. 10. Spencer, 1,. W. Alexander and llr. Walker ; captain, Mr W. 0. Weston ; secretary and treasurer, Sir J. i'aton; auditor, Mr H. A. Lemon ; committee, Messrs It. Bayly, (!. 10. Mauinering, W. 10. S|)encer, il. K. Morison, and It. Addeifbrooke. Votes of thanks were passed to (lie outgoing ollicers, especial mention being made of the valuable services rendered by the late captain, Mr K. Ilavly, and the. ladies who had dispensed refreshments during the season. It was decided to open Ihe season on Saturday afternoon next. The club's committee expect to have si. professional coach for a few weeks early in I hi' season. There nre over twenty new memhVrs, and' as many of these are novices al golf, il is thought too much of an imposition to ask (lie old mcni'ljers to give the instruction required. Several of the old players have pul in some good practice on (he links, and should be in gowl form for the opening matches.

The ladies' committee for this year consists of Mesifcunes J. W. Wilson anil I'aton, Misses Stand'ish, l'ercySmith, Deacon, Stephenson (secretary) and McKellar (assistant secretary).
