NOTES HY CENTRE-HALF. Mr Mclsaiao will act as referee in the match Star A v. Tuloapa, in the second junior grade to-day. The opening senior match in New Plymouth, Tukapa v. Slur, will be played in the Recreation Grounds. No very startling display can be expected, unless it is because of the comparative "«reenness" of the players. Stratford seniors meet Clifton seniors at Stratford to-day. In second grade matches to-day Stratford plays Clifton at Waitara, and Tukapa journeys to Inglewood to meet the local team. The "thirds" who try conclusions are Star A and Tukapa, and Stratford v. Inglewood. In the southern division Patea seniors meet Okaiawa on the Okiiiawa ground and Eltlram plays Waimate at Manaia. At Opumike the local team meets the llmvera representatives. Thf first junior tennis engaged arc Patea v. Okaiawa at Patea ■ Waimate v: Elthum at Elthum ; and Huwera v. Opunake ut lluwera, As there are only two teams in the south end playing second juniors, viz., Hawera and Wuinmte, the leums from these clubs will play their first match on April MOth ut Hawera the second nt Waimate, and continue thus on ■alternate grounds throughout -tbo season.
