Volunteer Manœuvres.
(I'cr Press Association.) AUCKLAND, April 18. Colonies Dimes iias issued liis criticism on the Easier volunteer manoeuvres, lie commends both sides, but also shows the mistakes committed by both, and concludes : "It is certain that the whole force employed benefited very much by the experience, and has learned many useful lessons. The attacking force was necessarily too small (more Iroops not being available) to indict a decisive 'defeat on the defenders, but owing to the. knowledge that an attacking force did exist, and to the uncertainty as to when, or where it might be expected the abject for which the manoeuvres were held—namely, practice in the prxrtect'ioJh of that portion of our coast and liarildiur—was most successfully attained."
