McLean, 1 MiL i.i jiuL in no application personally, bonald McLean, an uncle, admitted (hat lie iiad informed Mr Kirk, solicitor, in junking Hie declaration, thai, his name was Wm. ZleLean. It was true lie forced another man's name, ImU he did not know any hfUer. He knew his nophew wanted to tfo in for the run, hut lie was not at "home when witness left, for Dunedin, so witness thought lie could lor him. The hoard forfeited tho application and a sum of Is (s*l paid in conne'.'i ion t hei'ewi th. A report, will -Ik- forwarded to the (Jovernmeift, who will decide if furl her proceedings are to be taken.
