Walter Lindsay Thompson, a prominent city solicitor, was found fatally shot in his nliice, 11 is supposed accidentally. His life was insured for £25,11011, including 110(1(1 with the New Zealand AeeideuL Insurance Company. A large port ion of the total was arranged tor within the past year, and .CTOOO since January last. A coroner's iiiq|iiir,v was opened, and postponed at the request of insurance companies interested, pending a post mortem examination.
