School Commissioners
The Board met on Friday. Present —Messrs R. Cock (chairman), Mackenzie, Allsworth, Faull and Wade. The consideration of the Morshead Nursery Co.'s application for conversion of their present lease was held over. In compliance with Sr J- 0. George's request it was decided, That the yearly rental to be paid for the renewal lease of sec. 1J and part sec, V, N.P., subject to Mr George agreeing, lie £2l, and on a solicitor reporting all in order that a lease be prepared accordingly. Tho Board will accept surrender of sec. 1, bl 14, Omona, from W. A. Quin, upon tho Hoard's solicitor reporting all in order. The Borough Council of Elthnm wrote stating its intention to adhere to the original scheme of drainage. Mr J. Skinner reported on the erosion of the reserve at Waiwakaiho, leased to Mr N. King. The matter was referred to the chairman. The treasurer reported a balance of £332 8s lOd, Tho following transfers were granted on the usual conditions :—T. Hellier to E. Nops, sec. 1, bl 1, Ngatimaru ; E. Ticehuist to E. 'Hcehurst and (J. Speiice, sec. 19, bl 12, Ngairc. The secretary reported that he was completing the return of reserves required by the Government. It was resolved that the secretary forward his completed return to the Government and his account of £IU 10s for preparing the .same. As requested by the Mungorci Road Board and Mr A. Brown the Board decided to accept a surrender of 3 roods 2li perches and 1 ro.nl three perches and the Chairman sign a consent that 3 roods 26 perches be taken for a public road, provided 3 roods 37 perches, consisting of part of the Makara Road now to lie closed bo vested in this Board. Accounts amounting to £l6 10s lOd were pnssi-d for payment, and the Hoard adjourned.
