In tho city of London more than £3O 10s an inch, or 1000 guineas J per was paid for every piece of the land between King William statue and Trinity Square, E.C. In Glasgow plots of land have been sold for £76 los and £54 per square yard In the city of Chicago a plot of land was p*rchased for £l2O, and, after Itjeing held for twenty years, sold for £BOOO.
