EASTER HOLIDAYS. POSTAL BRANCH. Good Friday, April 1, is to be observed as a Sunday ; but on Easter Monday, the 4th, post offices are to be open in all branches, except money ord«r and Savings Bank, from 0 A.m. to 10 a.m. Mails usually despatched on Fridays will be closed on Thursday, . March 31, at 7 p.m. On Easter Monday the usual despatch of mails will be made up to 8 p.m. On Thursday, March 81, and Bat> xirday, April 2, there will be a delivery of town letters over the counter from 8 p.m. till 9 p.m. Sunday hours are to be observed In the private box lobby on Good FYiday ; usual hours on Easter Monday - Ti*e railway travelling post office will /wn as usual. •OTLEGRAPH BRANCH. Newspapers not exceeding Boz prepaid nt the penny rate may be forwarded by the San Francisco or Federal mail service, or direct, etc. Newspapers exceeding Boz, if prepaid at existing rates, i.e., a penny for the first four ounces and Jd for each succeeding 2 ounces, may be sent by tho San Francisco and Federal mail ji ne g Wholly unpaid papers are to be detained and advertised as in tho XLe of printed papers.
