Main Trunk Railway.
(Per Press Association.) AUCKLAND, March 28. A circular lias been issued by the North Island Main Trunk Railway I 'League to a number of commercial ■institutions and business men in Auckland, drawing attention to the slow progress made in the construction of the line north of Auckland, and suggesting that local institutions and private concerns having funds to invest should agree to take up Government debentures to the value of, say, £OOO,OOO un condition that the money thus realised should he entirely (levelled by the Government to the extension' of the North Auckland railway and its.completion as far as, say. Alumigaturolo within a certain time.
