(Per Press Association.) " WKLUNOTON, March l!2. Sir Joseph Ward, interviewed, regretted chat Australia had not agreed to Sir Sandi'ord Fleming's proposal to popularise tho Pacilii: cable by granting press concessions. In order to familiarise tho general public with the service t'anada and \Yw Zealand had acquiesced in the proposal, but nothing could lie done without the consent of Australia. Sir Joseph Ward is satisfied with the support accorded to the service by New Zealand commercially and otherwise, though more might bo done. He thinks •eventually something will bo done in the direction indicated by Sir Sandford Fleming.
