HOMEBUSH SALES. (Received March 21, 11.40 p.m.) SYDNEY, March 21. At the Homebush sales sheep improved in value, best wethers making 20s to 235. Cattle were steady. Bullocks, best, £ll to £l2 12s Gti ; good, £9 10s ; cows, best, £8 £ss ; good, £7 5a ; best beel averaged 25s ©d per Ib % Abandoned at Sea. 'A BARQUE'S PERILOUS VOYAGE, (Per Press Association.) AUCKLAND, March 21. The Norwegian barque Sappho, bound from Mexico to Port Natal, was abandoned at sea on December 18th, ofl the Cape of Good Hope. The vessel was loaded with a cargo of timber. She met with extremely bad weather, and was in a sinking Condition when sighted and picked up by the barquo Ama llagumakoa, bound from Cardiff to I'ago Pago. The master and crew were carried on to Pago Pago by tho barque, arriving there on March sth, and coming on by the Sierra to Auckland.
