I "WIFE MURDER AND SUICIDE. MELBOURNE, March 12. A tragedy occurred at Whittlesea. "William Oats, a labourer, quarrelled ■with his wife at dinner table, and •almost severed her head from her 'body with a carving knife. lie then "Committed suicide. The quarrel arose over the wife's threat to leave 'Wm owing to her husband's continu--ed brutality.
