THE LIQUOR QUESTION.
(Received March 17, 9.15 p.m.) MELBOURNE, Match 17. At a meeting of,members of the House of Representatives interested in temperance it was resolved to favour a bill prohibiting the sale of intoxicants in military and naval canteens, or the manufacture or sale (except for medical of liquor in the Federal capital or territory until a local option poll had been asked for. The meeting also rcuflirnied the desirableness of including in the Papuan Bill a provision prohibiting the sale of intoxicants in I'apua.
