School Commissioners.
At the last meeting of the Hoard of School Commissioners Messrs Mackenzie, Faull, Wade and Allsworlh were present. The chairman, Air K. Cock, was granted leave of absence owing to illness in his family. The report of the committee on Mr T. G. Sole's lease of parts S, -New Plymouth, was received. Mr Allsworlh's notice of motion re the transfer of St. Michael's Square to the Education Hoard was held over for consideration at a special meeting on Friday next.
T-ho -New .Plymouth Carnival Committee wrote, asking for use of St. .Michael's Square in connection wilh Ihe forthcoming exhibit ion.—Consideration was deferred till Cnday.
The Ellhani tlorougli Council gave notice of its intention to acquire part of (1. J. Wilby's leasehold, section U,-), block jo, Ng-uirc, lor the purpose of constructing a septic tank.
The ranger reported on the position, and it was decided that the whole of the hoard visit lilt-ham with a view to arranging for an alteration in the site whereby less damage would be caused lo the board's properly. /
Leave was grunted to Messrs .1. and It. YV. Barron to subdivide leasehold section 1, block :-l, Omona. Mr A. 11. Moore's letter re Mr ,K S. Knobbs' rent wns referred to the solicitor.
