Charge of Manslaughter.
(Per lYcss Association.) TIM A hi:, March 11. In connection with the death of the Waiwera Ihe chief ollicer (Masters) was charged nwlnv with Manslaughter. ISefoi-c opening the rt.se counsel for accused strongly commented on the action of the' police in bringing up Ihe proceedings in view of (lie fact that after an exhaustive inquiry al an inquest yesterday a verdict, was found which practically exonerated the accused from all blame. Counsel suggested that the charge he withdrawn, but Sergeant Warriiu,' refused. The case was not. concluded.
