A Fatal Fire.

(Per Press Association.) ASHIiUHTOX.. March S s A dwelling-house belonging to E. \. Lock, u farmer, Dear Methven, was totally destroyed by fire on Monday evening, and liertha, a ten-year-old daughter, was burned to death. In the temporary absence of their mother a kerosene lamp was upset and the children tried to put out the lire by throwing water on it. Tha u"re soon got the upper tiund and Bertha, overcome by the .smoke, was unable to escupe, and her charred remains were found afterwards.
