Ascotvalc Stakes, three-quarters oi a mile —Koopau 1, Sylvanite 2, llillingsgute a. netting; 11 to H on" Koopan, X to 1 Sylvanite. Won, af. ter a slushing liuish, by half u head, Time lmin lOjsec. Australian Hup, haiidicap of 25 sows, each, with 1000 sovs. added j two miles and a quarter, Marmoiit. 0.12 1 Scottish Ivlug, 7.12 2 Seaport, 7.0 8 liettiiig : 2 to 1 Marmont, 5 to 3 Scottish King, 8 lo 1 Seaport. Marmont at om;e drew out, und was never headed, winning easily by two t lengths. Seuport was half a head away. Sport Koyal, 8,0, filled. fourth place. Time 4min 4}sec, March Steeplechusc, about two miles—Sindhia 1, Goyuru 2, Persist H. netting ; u to 2 (ioyura, 7 to 2 Sindhiu. Won comfortably by eight lengths. Time 4min 18jsec. llourke Handicap, seven furlongs— Martinique 1, Latchkey 2, Hazel Lad it. Jletting : 9 to 4 I'luyaway, 20 to 1 Martinique. Won easily by three lengths. Time lmin 28jsec. Junior Handicap, three-quarters of tt mile—Lord Fitzroy 1, Van Troinp 2, Landgriif ;!. Retting: sto 2 Lord Fitzroy, 4 to 1 Culroy. Won after a great ruce by three-quarters ol u length. Time lmin 17jsvc. First Lesson has been scratched for all engagements at the Wanganut meeting.
