The School Commissioners Board met on Fi idav. Present : Messrs U. Cock (cih-ainnan). Wade, Kaull. and AHswotth. A discussion took place as to the growth of noxious weeds on Maori aiii.l other lands adjacent to reserves vesteul in the Board, and members expressed their determination, to sup|.oit. the ins[>octors iu l carrying out the provisions of tile Act. Mr AllsMorth gave lvotiiv to move at next meeting : "That the 4 acres 20 pcrehos bow vested in the School ComimisKioners under the Taranaki School Commissioners and Borough Exchange Act, IJHM, be set apart ami reserved as a site for a technical school and for a museum and library, anil vested in the Education Board of tiie Taranaki district accordingly. Fish to J. A. McKenna of sees 3 and 4, Block XVII., PaH>a town ; aad K. Oray to J. Kemp of part N., New I'lymouth ; also cn the motion of the chairman and Mr Faull, that upon the same terms consent be given to a sub-lease from W. Jones to H. Jones of sec l(i, Block 11., H'uiroa .3.0., for six years at £35 per anmum. Mr C. M. Lepper was allowed an extension of time until l)ec. 31,1904, for thy completion of first Improvements on sec 2, Block X., Upper Wai'tara S.D. Mr W. Conrtifey was granted a year's extension- of time, from June 1 next, in which to place a second building on part W., Town Belt. Mr T. 0. Sole applied for leave to surrender his- present lease of part S., New Plymouth, and to he granted a new lease with perpetual right of renewal.—* Granted, upon tile usual conditions. Mortgages were confirmed.
