Felix Tanner's Freak.
The Wauganui Herald says that on Thursday night, Mr Felix Tanner, who has since completed his 504 hours' Ifaat,. was visited h|y a couple of medical gentlemen, who examined him very, carefully. , They found Tanner's body to be in a very soft state, and l(is heart was In an unsatisfactory condition, being weuk and showing signs of little encrgv. His tempci'a,tui<c -had fallen to 5)0.4, and his pulse to 54, which wne lower than on any previous occusion. The lowest record on any prior exhibition of his pulse was'c-1, and his temperature, 96.8 V Never before had Tanner's heart showen such signs of flagging, and the medical men considered that the sooner the end of the task was reached the better. Under any circumstances his condition would be considered very critical. Tanner felt quite, run down, and admitted that he would not like to extend tihe fast licyond the time originally specified. Thursday night was the worst he had put in.
