SUNDAY SCHOOL ANNIVERSARY A tea-mevting anid concert were held last Thursday in connection with tine anniversary of the Fitzroy Sunidjay-ftchool. There was an abundance of provisions generously given fcy residents of the district, and with a large number of children and adults to enjoy the. good things, the tea-meeting was a decidod success. After tea t'he ohildren indulged in games, while their parents and H i*Kls lxjguilrd the 'timo in recalling ha[ij«y memories of by-gone duys. At 8 o clock the schoolroom was overcrowdtfd by a very expectant audience reauy to enjoy the excellent programme arranged for the concert, amd their fullest cxjxxrtancv was not disappointed. The following also as pleasingly contributed to the programme :—Mrs Handling, Misses Drake, A itch; son (violin), (Jhlcdii, ]•;. Davy, llawkeii, li. Kirton, Ivy Foote, Revji. Iliadbury'and Smith ; and Mrs Smith played the majority of the accompaniments. The Rev. F. 0. Evans presided, and at the rui.uest of the choir amd congregation of the church he presented a purse of sovereigns to the Rev. A. M. Bradbury in appreciation of that gentleman's services as choirmaster and orgian-ist. Miss Uoswortb, the able superintendent of the Sunday-school, was
in charge of all the arrangements, and was strongly supported by tin* teachers* ami a willing Imml of workers'.
