The Finance Committee recommended :—That the Education Department be asked to erect aioiig the Cloton Koad frontage of tl'.e Technical School site in Stratford, a railing similar to that, along the frontage of the Stratford District High School and along the Orlando and Ariel streets a live foot galvanised iron fence. That the department be asked to erect a room for practical plumbing and a small room at the Technical School, plans to lie prepared by the architect and the inspector. That application lie made to the Education Department for septic tanks for the Stratford Technical School, the tanks to lie erected in accordance with the department's plans. The impoitancc of the continuation of manual and technical clashes n) Stratford was carefully considered. As the success of classes will depend in a great measure on the local interest aroused in the work, and as the Stratford School Committee has displayed great energy, <eul. and enthusiasm in fostering th« cause of technical education, we recommend that the committee of management consist of (a) the committee of the Stratford District High School : (lb) a nominee of any association or local authority contributing not less than £25 per anniiinii to the maintenance of the classes. The powers, duties, and responsibilities of siic-lv committee of management are shown in a schedule attached. The matter of staffing the secondary department of the Stratford llig'it School was also considered. This last matter was referred to the chairman, the remainder of the report being adopted. Accounts amounting to C 1442 Is os. were passed for payment, and the meeting adjourned.
