TARIFF REFORM.

Received 10, 0.5-1 a-m. JjON DON, Jan. 35. Mr C. A. Pearson, chairman of the Taritt' Reform Commission, entertained members ol the commission at the Hotel Cecil. Mr Chamberlain, in a speech, declared the foundation of the commission was an historical event. It was a business commission for business-men, and detractors were too inexperienced to appreciate its representative character. He believed it would confer immense *twneht upon the Empire.
