SUCCESSFULLY FLOATED. Per Press Association. \ WELLINGTON, Dec. 2f». Tenders for tho half-million loan which was floated locally closed at noon to-day. They were opened in ' tho presence of the Minister for Railways, Sir Joseph Ward, and efficials of the Treasury. Forty-seven tenders were recei\'ed, amounting in all to £676| ( 150. All amounts under £IO,OOO will Deallocated In full. There were no Australian tender*. The Premier considers tho result very sntisftacy, and will ten J to improve the position within ami outside the colony. The most satisfactory feature is the number of subscribers.
