Compensation for Condemned Cattle.
(Per Press Association.) MTNEDIN, Dec. 21. Jhe Dairymen's Association metseveral mombers of Parliament to> wing under their notice the resolution passed at a recent meeting, and! to secure their co-operation in flxW i the limit of thfc price for <di96CLsieS cattle destroyed at £l2, and to in-' crease the age limit to len years ; and that all benefits derived from condemned cattle should go to own-' ers ; also, that owners shoald be notified of the visit of the veterinary surgeon to examine their animals,' and after a general discussion, th« members expressed their opinion that the dairymen had made out a good case and were entitled to support. Mr E. G. Allen, however, thought ft' would be futile to ask the Minister for an increased price for cjmdemnejL stock ; while others thought that a*} the price had gone up so should com-' pensation.
