RACES IN CHRISTCHURCH. CHRISTC'HURCH, Dec. 19. The Christchurch Cycling Club's meeting was continued to-day. Major Taylor won his heat in the scratch mile, but was blocked in the final, Sutherland beating him by a U?ngith in 2jnin 2soc, R Connell a few inches away third. Taylor made a wonderful sprint in the straight. The Chief Handicap Race of 2 miles was won by R. Arnst (70 yards) in 4 <minutes 35 seconds.
