A Pension Fraud.
(Per Press Association.) AUCKLAND, Dec. 14. George Spurivay, nn old age pensioner, was committed for two months for what the Stipendiary magistrate described as the woi-st case in connection with the pensions lie has seen. Accused's pension was cancelled, and he was ordered to refund double the amount paid. He had declared himself possessed of mo property, but shortly before applying for. his pension he had drtnivvi £2Bl from the savings bank, subsequently redepositing it prion to a renewal application.
