ITALY'S APPRECIATION OF GAUNT. Received 13, 9.80 a.m. ROME. Dec. 12., Signor Tittonie, Italian Minister for Foreign Affairs, visltod Mr Bertie, British Minister, and expressed Italy's gratitude for Commander Gaunt.s prompt and courageous action in connection with the trouble at Fort Surbo, which he declared would further strengthen Anglo-Ital-ian friendship. A special message of thanks was sent on betoalf of tiie Italian Government to Commander Gaunt.
