THE COLONIAL TUFASURLR invites Tenders for £500,000 New Zealand Government 4 per cent. Debenture?,, payable to Bearer, and of the face-value of £IOOO, £SOO, £2OO, and £IOO resiiectively, as may be desired.

Theso dehbntures are secured on the Public Revenues of New Zealand. The Principal will be repaid at par not earlier than five years nor later than twenty years from the Ist February, 1904, the Government reserving to itself the right of redemption (by conversion or otherwise) on the Ist February or Ist August, 1909, or in amy year after the year 1909, upon giving six months' notice in the Government Gazette, and in at least four newspapers published in the Colony, of its intention to do so. Both I'rineipal and Interest will be made paya-ble at the Treasury, Wellington, New Zealand.

The first .six months' interest, calculated upon the nominal amount of the Debenture, will be payable on the Ist August, .1904. The issue-price will ;> 9 at the rate of £IOO in money for every £IOO expressed in debentures (below which no tender will be accepted), payable as follows :

Deposit of o per eent. on application First instalment of 4o per cent, on Monday, Ith January, 1901. Second Instalment of r>o per cent, on Monday, Ist February, 1901.

Payments may be marie in full at any Mine on or after the tth January, 1901, and prior to the Ist February, 1904, at a discount at the rati- of ono pound ten shillings per centum per annum.

Sealed lenders, addressed io the Secretary to the Treasury. Government Duildings, Wellington, accompanied with the -r, per cent, deposit, will be received up to noon of Wednesday, 2«i>(l December, 1903, when they will be opened in the presence of the Colonial Treasurer anil the Controller and AtKiitor-Cuncral, and allotment will forthwith bu made. If cheques are lodged with a Tender, they must be drawn upon a Hank in Wellington, and be marked by such Bank as -good" for fourteen "daws. Choqiues issued by a Dank need not l)i! so marked.

Tenders may be ior the whole or any part of the Loan, and must slate what amount of money will be given for every £IOO of the Debentures tendered for. Tenders must be lor even hundreds of pounds sterling, and ut prices which are multiples of sixpence. Tenders at different prices must be on separate forms. The nominal amount, of Debentures tendered for must be written on the outride uf the Tender.
