SOMALILAND.
FIGHTING IN PROGRESS. MASSOWAH, Dec, 8. Blue jackets from a British gunboat burned the fort at Durbo, and killed thirty natives. The captain of H.M.S. Mohawk was wounded and a marine killed. Commander Ernest Gaunt. commanding the Mohawk's attack on the Ilurlw fort, sustained a compound fracture, of the thigh. 112 is doing well. Received 9, 10.14 p.m. MASSOWAIJ, Dec. 8. The fort of Durbo was under the Italian Protectorate. Graban's mission was to repress the traffic in slaves and arms. Lieut Gaunt, with 60 of the Mohawk's crew landed and discussed Graban's death with the Sultan who had a force of 400 Somalia. The Sultan declared he would lig'ht out the difference, and they returned to their respective forces. The Somalis opened lire and I killed a marine and wounded Gaunt.
