The lirst innings closed for 209, the principal scores being Hack 49. Hill 85. Reedman 22. Pellew (not out) 30. Second innings—7 wickets for 113—Jennings 20, Reedman 29, Clavton (not out) 23. Received 8, 10.40 p.m. SYDNEY, Dec. 8. South Australia's second innings realised 175. Claxton, batting freely and well, carried his score to 54 and Ncwland (12) was the only other to make a stand. New South .Walee won by an innings and 297 runs.
