Drowning Accidents.
ASHBURTON, Dec. 4. Information has reached hero that throe men were drowned while out fishing in the Rangitata Kivcr lost nigiit. Two of their names are said to be Duncan Ilot>e(tskn, of T;maru, and Morrison, «f Ceraldine, but the other name is not given. WAIMATEI Dec. 4. The names of the men drowned are Robertson and T. Twigg, clerk of the Geraldine Town Board. They wore attempting- to cross the Uang-i----tata near the mouth in a boat, which was sw!iSii[«_vl. The third man reached the bank in safety. CHHISTCHURCII, Dec. 4. A lad named James McConnel, son of Mt I{. McConnell solicitor, was drowned in the Heathcote Itiver last evening. Together with his brother and several mates ho was fi.slnng off the Ferry Road bridgja and losing las balance fell into the river.
