ENGLAND v. QUEENSLAND. Received 27, 0.39 a.m. BRISBANE, Nov. 27. Warner's team begian the match aguinst Queensland to-day. The weather is line, and there is a good wicket. The attendance is 4,000. Huyward, Hirst, and Tyldesley stood out. The local team, after an inauspicious start, Patrick succumbing at the first ball, made a good stand, The batting was at first slow ,and cautious, the first hour yielding 1 50 riiiis; i)i McDonald came in third main, and w&s joined by Evans. When three wickets were down fdr 70; the partnership hod added 95 run#. They* provided an excellent display of 1 iill round cricket. Evan's played \lyiih great brilliancy and dash: The rapidity of the scoring may be lodged from the fact that at one period they made 27 in 20 minutes. McDonald played a sound, defensive game. Both thoroughly captured the bowling, and numerous changes were triedl Evans' score included two fives and ten fours. McDonald saw the last man in, and was then given out leg before to Bosanlqlet.
