Maintenance of Bridges.
(Per Press Association.) TiMARU, Nov. 25. At a meeting of the Chairman of tho Levels, Asbburton, Waitaki and Wairaato County Councils Here a resolution was passed protesting against tho action of the Railway Department in claiming the cost of maintenance of raiMmy combined traffic bridigies, as these are colonial works and benefit the public as a whole rather than local ratepayers. A copy of the resolution will besent to Sir Joseph Ward and the Hon. Hall-J ones.
