Dix's Gaiety Company.
It is generally conceded that the ■greater portion of the theatre-going public wish to be amused, and th« secret of Mr P. H. Dix's success as uin> entrepreneur 'is that he retains the best Viuwleville talent obtainable in England, America, and Australia. With these artists he sets out with the fixed intention of administering a wholesome tonic to drive out the cares which the heart ■of man is subject to. The popularity of his companies is evidenced by the fact that the Theatre Royal, Wellington, is crowded every night, and the great success which is attending the tour of the line convb'i'nation which is to visit us on Friday and Suturdav evenings. It is little wonder that the tour is proving so successful as the company includes some of the finest talent at present under engagement to Mr i)ix. The season at the Theatre Uoyal here is limited to two nights only, and seats may be secured in advance at McKinnon liain's.
