A Thrilling Incident.

A thrilling incident occurred at Bendigo (Victoria) a few daysi ago. While Constable ICays was on duty in View-street, his attention was attracted by piercing cries for help. He ran in the direction from which the sounds proceeded, and was astonished to see a young woman hanging by her hands from an upper storey of the Bank of New South Wales. Kays promptly obtained a ladder in £he vicinity, and placing it against the wall, ascended.
