CHRIST CHURCH, Nov. 12. ! The Canterbury A. and X 5. Associartion's Show was favoured with 1 splendid weather, and a record at- ] tendance for judging day. Stock ( generally were shown in excellent > condition, though a few exceptions l evidenced the severe winter exper- r lenced in the South. Machinery and , implements numbered 1559 entries ( as against 1544 last year. Draught . horses and sheep were specially fine 1 sections. The falling off of a hun- . died in the entries for sheep was , accounted for by the reduced nomin- i ations of unpopular breeds, Lincoln, i Border Lc,tester, and Romney, and the dispersion during the year of ' severe l English Leicester flocks, and 1 the absence of rivalry ial fat * and the, y ' h ° Wever ' did not suffer,' i and thcic was scarcely a bad sheep ' i« the show.
