The defendants' couts?l stopped the case, sayiDg it had just been disclosed that the underwriters had received their evidence from inaccurate sources, and therefore they decided to pay Kerry's cliim with four per cent interest added, because Kerry had been deprived of his money and hud suffered a great deal.
