Wellington, October 30. The Council of the Chamber of Compierce has set up a committee of inquiry into the question of preferential rade with the Mother Country. The committee has been instructed to give due consideration to the undesirableness of unnecessarily disturb!) g the public revenue or detrimentally affecting the industries of the colony.
