Chbistchubch, October 23. ■ The New Zealand Amateur Swimming Associatian, which has its head- : quarters in Christchurcb, has issued a : circular to affiliated clubs asking them ■ to use their influence to have a read- ' justment of the Government subsidy. ■ This Association baa 23 Clubs, with between 2000 and 3000 members connected with it, and the Auck and Association, which seceded from the other, comprises one Club, yet bath Associations receive the same amount, namely £SO. It is not asked that the grant to the Auckland Association should be reduced, but that the grant to the larger Association should be increased. The Canterbury centre of the) Association has decided to bring the matter under the attention of the local members of Parliament.
