At the Hawke's Bay Agricultural aod Pastoral Society's Show on the second day there was a record attendance of about HtOQO people, The display of hacks, oarriage horses and pigs was the best yet seen, Honours were fairly divided between Manawatu breeders, Messrs Stack Brothers, J. Jarvis, B. Gray and B. White. The last named won the points prize in addition to the championship, The native industries section contained nearly 200 exhibits. The sheep shearing was won by Mr Henry Ltmmell, the leaping competition by Mr H. tfaesall's Pick-pooket, wood ohopping by Mr McDonald, and the LloydLindsay competition by the Hawke's Bay Mounted Rifles, W»irarap» Mounted Rifles second, and Folding Mounted Riflas third,
